Headers

The First Header I Made
Dates: unknown (somewhere in November 2008-somewhere in December 2008 )
Features: Ebeko from Mistress Fortune by: Arina Tanemura
Notes: I like this one…other than the fact that the text color doesn’t match perfectly… I tried to pull the color from the tips of Ebeko’s ears(?), but didn’t quite pick the right color, even with the eyedropper tool. : /

The Second Header I Made
Dates: somewhere in December 2008-December 17, 2008
Features: Amu from: Shugo Chara! by: Peach-Pit
Notes: Changed this one pretty quick, cuz the grainy quality was pissing me off real bad.

The Third Header I Made
Dates: December 17, 2008 – December 27, 2008
Features: Takuto and Mitsuki from Full Moon by: Arina Tanemura, Syaoran and Sakura from Tsubasa by: CLAMP, and Amu from Shugo Chara! by: Peach-Pit
Notes: For some reason, the blue border doesn’t show up when I use this banner…I’m not sure why. It still works though, so whatever…

blog-header-4.jpg
Dates: December 27,  2008 – February 1, 2009
Features: young Kisaki and Ebeko from Mistress Fortune by: Arina Tanemura
Notes: I love this banner, other than the fact that the writing is kind of fuzzy in the real size and I kinda messed up the star a little. I used this in honor of the Mistress Fortune tankoban being released on December 25, 2008. : D This is the first header to feature my blog’s new title of “kelakagandy’s ramblings”.

blog-header-vday.jpg
Dates: February 1, 2009 - February 15, 2009
Features: Nadeshiko, Amu, and Yaya from Shugo Chara! by Peach-Pit
Notes: I really like this banner!!! The only thing I don’t like about it is the text. I like the tag line, but the font is really ugly…I need to so something about getting some next fonts. This is of course my Valentine’s Day banner. : D Let’s just pretend we don’t know that Nadeshiko is really a boy, shall we? xD

Blog Header 5
Dates: February 15, 2009 – February 24, 2009
Features: Sakura from Sakura Hime Kaden by: Arina Tanemura
Notes: I think this was the second banner I made when I went on a banner-making spree when I downloaded Gimp. xD I like this one, especially the pattern I used on the close-up of her eyes.

blog-header-6
Dates: February 24, 2009 – March 20, 2009
Features: Momoka and Ryuga from St. ♥ Dragon Girl by: Natsumi Matsumoto
Notes: I take no credit for the numerous brushes I used here; they’re all from other deviantart users. I have all the ones I downloaded bookmarked, I just don’t know which ones are from which sets…  It was really hard to find images from this series, which I guess isn’t too surprising, it’s not too popular and it’s been over for a few years…it was still sad though. D: This is really just a placeholder header til I can make a new one this size for the new theme.
Font made by me using yourfonts.com

Spring Header
Dates: March 20, 2009 – April 25, 2009
Features: Alice and Nyozeka from Alice 19th by: Yuu Watase
Notes: I made this in like the dead of winter (when I discovered Yuu Watase’s site had lots of images) and then totally forgot about it. xD Luckily I found it in time for the first day of spring! : D Not much going on, but I really like it anyway; All the swirls make me happy. :] Alice 19th was the first manga series I bought all of (I’ve bought the first volume of Alice 19th about 4 times, for various reasons xD ), and also my first Watase series, which makes it really special to me. It’s also just one of my favorite Watase series in general.

blog-header-8.jpg
Dates: April 25, 2009 – July 17, 2009
Features: Kiri and Shampoo from Beauty Pop by: Kiyoko Arai
Notes: I really like this one a lot actually! : D I had to like completely re-draw Kiri’s freaking hand (which is pretty noticable), but I think I did a fairly good job… I originally meant to put this up with my review of BP volume 10…and proceeded to forget about it for 2 weeks. xD

blog header 9
Dates:
July 17, 2009 – July 31, 2009
Features: Anna Koshiro from Stardust Wink by: Nana Haruta
Notes: I haven’t actually read this series, since no one has scanlated it, and it’s not available legally yet, but it’s just so adorable and summer-y that I had to use it!!! : D I actually made it in the car on the way home from the beach, so I was feeling extra summer-y. xD I didn’t do too much to the image, other than moving the watermelon slice and her hands up (I’m pretty proud of the crop job I did on the hands actually, lol). I really like this one, though it looks really blurry thanks to WordPress. :[

blog-header-10.jpg
Dates:
July 31, 2009 - October 10, 2009
Features: Sue from Clover by: CLAMP
Notes: I was so ridiculously excited about the new Clover omnibus and the fact that Dark Horse announced they would be publishing omnibus editions of Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Chobits that I made this and posted my review of the new Clover omnibus edition on the same day. And the day I bought my copy of Clover, I got the CLAMP/Dark Horse bag from Comic-Con that I ordered on Ebay. It was a CLAMP extravaganza. xD
Anyway, about the actual header: I took the tagline (which I don't normally do) from the song "Clover" from the manga. I think it fits pretty well with the image, since Sue has her hands crossed like she's wishing/hoping/praying. :] I re-made this like a hundred times; it was ridiculous, but I really love how it came out, and it looks great on wordpress too, which never happens!! : D

kiminitodokebanner.jpg
Dates:
October 10, 2009 – November 1, 2009
Features: Kazehaya and Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke by: Karuho Shiina
Notes: I actually love this one! It turned out great! I finally learned to use the cloning tool in GIMP, so the background actually looks alright! xD The font was downloaded from fontstruct.fontshop.com (so all rights and everything to whichever user made it!!!) and I love it! It’s a great font! The image is from animepaper.net (and was scanned from the Shojo Beat 2009 calendar). Again, this actually looks good on WP, so that makes me even happier! : D

hadashi-banner1.jpg
Dates:
November 1, 2009 – current
Features: Sumi and Shouichirou from Hadashi de Bawa wo Fume (Stepping on Roses/Stepping on Roses Barefoot) by: Rinko Ueda
Notes: Love this one too! : D I decided I was going to make a “manga to look forward to” post a while ago, and since I had to make a new banner after Halloween, this is what came out. :] It was really hard to find images for a Hadashi banner, which made me sad, but I like how it turned out in the end.
