Story:
Amu’s Guardian Characters have been stolen by her teacher, a bitter man whose dreams died when his own egg was smashed. When Amu goes to reclaim her Characters, the School Guardians are there to help. But can they get Amu’s eggs back and put the evil teacher’s egg together again? (from Del Rey)
Ramblings:
For some reason, the pages of this volume are just slightly wider than the cover, so they stick out a tiny little bit. It’s not much, and it’s not too noticable, but it’s kind of annoying… other than that though, this volume is really well put together.
Yay! Nikaidou-sensei! : D I love him so much more because of the anime, but since this is supposed to be a review of the manga, we’ll not discuss that not. I didn’t remember that Ikuto was there when Nikaidou was first revealed…but when he catches Amu, he sure is holding her rather protectively. xD
lulz, Nobuko Saeki is probably one of the most amazing side characters in this series. xD She’s just a fun, crazy old lady. Who also can’t drive. xD
I love Lunatic Charm, but I’m not loving how Del Rey randomly put the words half in/half out of the speech bubbles…I realize it’s hard to fit things sometime, but there are two full-size bubbles for 4 words…it couldn’t have been much more work to fit them in… :/
hahahah. I adore Yoru’s face when Utau is clinging to Ikuto. xD He’s just like, “wtf woman, you’re insane.”
Su!! D: I really wish Nikaidou hadn’t put her in a cage like that. D:
hahaha. “Ikuto, kidnapping a kid?” Ikuto’s friends(?) are rather amusing. It’s not like he was far-off, right?

The first appearance of the Heart Rod! And some super lols caused by Amu’s reaction, “Ack! What’s with this girlie magic wand? There’s no magic coming out of it!”
The first appearance of Amulet Clover too!! : D Though I’m not really fond of the giant puffball of a dress… :/
I don’t know what chapter it is off the top of my head (and they’re not labeled in the book), but I love the chapter title page with the Alice in Wonderland theme!!! It’s fantastic! : D

omg. So, in the 4-koma at the end of this volume, there is one about the characters saying what spring makes them think of…Ikuto and Yoru both said, “Being in heat.” I’m going to have to agree with Amu, “Can he say that in this manga?” Oh Peach-Pit, how I love thee! : D

So…I already did one of these for volume 5, but I’m not sure when I can do volume 4, since someone at home is borrowing it and I have no idea when (or realistically, if) I’ll get it back…

Ah, the part that really bugged me about Lunatic Charm’s dialogue is how they switched these two sentences (sorry, I can’t remember it very well since I haven’t bought the book yet but it’s pretty much the same):
“I’ll have you disappear, Guardians! I’m sorry!” (Del Ray)
And what we were suppose to get was the exact reverse: “I’m sorry but I’ll have to get rid of you all right here, Guardians!”
Del Ray really killed the effect of the line because of the switch. Don’t you think? *mad because of it*

& I love Amulet Clover’s skirt! X333 I use to hate it because I thought it was so ugly but now I can’t see Amulet Clover without it. It’s so cute! ^^
It’s probably chapter 13 or 14. And yes, that was such a lovely cover~ 8D

That definitely does change the meaning…that’s weird…Del Rey doesn’t tend to do things like that.

I would threaten, but it’s not that she lost it persay, but rather that she’s left it at home and she lives like 2 states away now, but goes to school in my home town. So it’s really a matter of her remembering to bring them with her to school and then us being able to meet sometime when I’m home… :/

It works though. Part of the reason I like Amuto is that Amu doesn’t let Ikuto get away with saying perverted things.
